SWE Girl Scout Day! Light up jewelry!



On Saturday January 30, 2016 UMass Amherst SWE hosted Girl Scouts from local troops to introduce them to engineering. The Girl Scouts spent the day being engineers! Our SWE members taught them how to solder, and code light up earrings and necklaces.

The Girl Scouts were taught how to code using Arduino Software. They programmed their jewelry to light up in different colors and patterns!

SWE Members taught the Girl Scouts what engineering is and all the different opportunities available!
